Counts on the number of deaths in Canada are provisional and subject to change. Additional information can be found at Statistics Canada website.
Active cases are calculated by subtracting total recovered and total deaths from total reported cases.
Patients in hospital, intensive care unit (ICU) or on a ventilator are only available for the current reported date. It is not possible to estimate new cases for these measures because reporting limitations.
Case map (not available on mobile)
The map displays case information for the current reporting date at the level of the public health unit .
The geographic location represents the physical address of the public health unit for the region.
Zooming in and out of the map will display varying case counts for the region. For example, case counts for Toronto Public Health and Peel Public Health regions might be clumped together when the map is zoomed out but will display more granular data when zoomed in.
Information about transgender and unreported gender is not presented on the map.
